Fiber arts in a form with a purpose. Artist Avery Applegate creating a colorful yarn coiled basket using an ancient technique with modern materials. You will learn how to start a coil bottom, build up the sides, how to let your stitches to become part of the design, how to hide stitches so that they disappear, and finish off the piece with finesse. After you learn the process you will be able to make baskets of any size and complexity you desire. All materials will be provided, although you are encouraged to bring favorite yarns if you wish. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
